Spring Dashboard Update Details Leaked?

I was looking around the Xbox forums when I came across a post that linked to this video. It said that the update will becoming on May 7th and described the features that are claimed to be in the Spring update. This is a RUMOR. As we know from past issues, some leaks may be true while others are not. Microsoft has not said anything official as what to expect in the Spring Update or when it is going to roll out. For now we will have to wait and see. What do you guys think?

Classic Board Games Coming To Xbox Live Arcade?

While we were recording the podcast last night, we spoke about what franchises we would like to see on the 360. Jokingly me and Tony agreed that Chess should be on the arcade. After we said that Corran chimed in that if you look at the pamphlet that came with the vision camera, you will see a screen-shot of chess with vision camera capability. I decided to investigate this by digging up my vision camera pamphlet from the dark corners of my TV cabinet and surely enough there was a screen-shot of vision camera enabled chess and a paragraph that said  “Play face-to-face with one of 4 classic board games- Checkers, Reversi, Mancala and Chess.” I found this pretty interesting since these games are not on the arcade as of right now. So I think that we should expect to see these classic board games on the Arcade hopefully sometime soon. Here is the page on which the Classic Board Games are mentioned:

Xbox 360 Zephyr Confirmed?

I am sure that most of you have heard the rumors about a new black Xbox 360 with an HDMI port and 120 GB hard drive. Well it looks like that has been confirmed. Posts have been going around all over the Internet confirming this new 360. According to Engadget the new 360’s name is the Xbox 360 “Elite”.  Rumor has itthat it will be available in late April,it will be selling for $479 US  and that the 120 GB hard drive would be available seperately for under $200 US. This seems like a very interesting announcement, we have not heard anything official yet from Microsoft so it is still technically a rumor but it is leaning towards being true. GOW Achievement Update!?

I got this one from Xbox 360 Fanboy posted by David Dreger aka Knuckles Dawson. Are you sick of not being able to unlock achievements in GOW Player Matches? Are you even thinking about getting rid of Gears because of this? Well think about that for a second. There is a rumor going around that soon you may be able to unlock achievements for online play with your friends in Player Matches. Also there is a rumor of a few new maps and weapons coming out for Gears as well. Now these are just rumors, but you never know they could be true. If that is true, I cannot wait because then I would play Gears of War more often to unlock some more achievements while playing with my friends.
