Alright for all you fans of the Devil May Cry franchise, you do not need to save up $600 to buy the next installment of this game if you haven’t purchased a PS3 already. Shivering Isles Will Have Achievements

15 03 2007

Alright, I’m going to jump back into time here for a second. If I remember correctly on Xcast Episode #23  it was discussed if Shivering Isles which is the expansion pack for Oblivion will have achievements or not. Well I just found out that Shivering Isles will include 250 extra Gamerscore because of the new Achievement regulations. So all you Oblivion fans along with theman661.com’s own Tony can see some extra Gamerscore added if you purchase Shivering Isles which I believe will be selling at $30 US at retail for 2400 Points on the Marketplace which is the equivalent to $30. Xbox360Achievements.org has released a list of the achievements: http://www.xbox360achievements.org/home/showachievements.php?type=Retail&gameID=57. Just scroll down to the bottom until you see the Shivering Isles Achievements. I was reading Unscripted 360 when I found out about this so check out Deacon’s post here: http://www.unscripted360.com/2007/03/15/shivering-isles-achievements-added/

EDIT: Shivering Isles will be released March 27th. Also the Oblivion expansion will be available at retail for PC only.

Live for Windows Coming Soon!

14 03 2007

The project that we all know as Live anywhere will be coming sooner than you may have thought. Live anywhere is going to let you log in with your Xbox Live Gamertag on your Windows Vista PC. If you have a Silver account you can earn achievements in single player modes, send text and voice messages, play your friends and others on PC games. If you are an Xbox Live Gold Member you will get more features such as multiplayer achievements and trueskill matchmaking. You do now have to pay extra for the service. Alls you have to do is have a gamertag and you are good to go. Live for Windows will be debuting with the release of Halo 2 for Windows Vista on May 8th 2007, not that far away. Sounds like a pretty good deal for all you Vista owners, this just makes me want to buy a new PC for Vista right now. Read the official Gamerscore Blog post on the service here.

512 MB Memory Unit and Arcade File Size Limit Increased!

5 03 2007

I was listening to Major Nelson’s new show this morning, when he spoke about a press release that went out and was going to be announced over at GDC this morning. This included news about the larger 512 Memory Unit coming out on April 3rd 2007, this will be showing up worldwide at the price of $49.99 US. Also the original 64 MB Memory Unit will drop $10.00 US in price to $29.99 US. Alright here is the biggest part of this press release for all you Xbox Live Arcade fans, Microsoft has increased the file size limit on all arcade games to 150MB instead of 50 MB. This will take place as of today March 5th 2007. Wow that was a pretty big press release. The new limit should allow us to see some cool new arcade games with more capabilities coming out in the near future. What do you guys think?

Counting Down For Crackdown!

19 02 2007

Now I was not able to go down to Mexico and get myself a copy of Crackdown before the 20th, so I’m going to have to wait until tomorrow. This is going to be pretty cool, I’m looking forward to play some of that Crackdown co-op, that should be interesting. If you guys are wondering why Xcast Episode #21 is not out yet, I am waiting to record it so I can give you a review of Crackdown. Also many people have been asking me this, the Halo 3 beta is not going to be out when people recieve the copy of Crackdown with the Halo 3 beta code on the disk, it will release later on this year and you will be able to play it through the disk.
