Classic Board Games Coming To Xbox Live Arcade?

7 04 2007

While we were recording the podcast last night, we spoke about what franchises we would like to see on the 360. Jokingly me and Tony agreed that Chess should be on the arcade. After we said that Corran chimed in that if you look at the pamphlet that came with the vision camera, you will see a screen-shot of chess with vision camera capability. I decided to investigate this by digging up my vision camera pamphlet from the dark corners of my TV cabinet and surely enough there was a screen-shot of vision camera enabled chess and a paragraph that said  “Play face-to-face with one of 4 classic board games- Checkers, Reversi, Mancala and Chess.” I found this pretty interesting since these games are not on the arcade as of right now. So I think that we should expect to see these classic board games on the Arcade hopefully sometime soon. Here is the page on which the Classic Board Games are mentioned:

“Worms” is on the Way!

2 03 2007

Alright all you guys who are waiting for “Worms” (me being one of you) can stop staring at the marketplace screen every hour of every day waiting for “Worms” to pop up. I’m sure that nobody does this but if you do you can stop. According to the guys over at Gamerscore Blog and Major Nelson, “Worms” will be available next Wednesday and will be sold for 800 Microsoft Points. This will probably climb up the XBLA unique users chart when it hits marketplace.
