As announced, Alien Hominid HD has been released on the Xbox Live Arcade. The game is priced at 800 points, and it is available in all the Xbox Live regions. I may even download this given the price for a pretty cool game.

DeaconBlade 360 has put together a list of Xbox Academy Awards. Instead of a trophy the winners receive an honorary mention over at unscripted360.com dubbed a ring of light. Of course Deacon gave himself an award for his world famous Xbox 360 Laws. There are still more categories being added, how about first ping to the post Deacon? Hahah anyway everyone should check these awards out. I have no idea if we should be expecting an actual Xbox Academy Awards Episode of Unscripted 360, that would be cool. ALIEN HOMINID! Yep we are getting an XBLA title this week called Alien Hominid which I am sure you have heard of, if you haven’t check out the interview Major Nelson did with John Baez from the Alien Hominid team on his show #213. I’m pretty sure this title is going to sell for 800 points. Also according to the guys over at the Gamerscore Blog this game will feature a full 200 Gamerscore. Yep, I’m back for Xcast Episode #22. This episode I brought you all of the news going around the gaming industry and the community. Will the Wii continue to sell as much as everyone thought? Some more games are added to the Platinum Hits selection of games and brought down to $29.99 US yeahhhhhhhh. Xbox360Achievements.org hosted another attempt to get the 1000 people online achievement and I did not know this until after I recorded the show, but they succeeded. Planet Xbox 360’s own Nelson Rodriguez was featured in an on10.net interview that was released a few days ago. I gave you a more detailed look at Crackdown and whatever else I found to throw in the episode.

I was just over at Major Nelson’s site when I noticed he posted the top Xbox Live Activity for the week of February 19th. I checked what the number one spot was for this past week and of course combined with Halo 2, Gears of War is still the top played title over Xbox Live. So I guess this comment I received the other day was correct and I am starting to agree:
“Crackdown doesn’t have the multiplayer that Gears does.Co-Op is fun but it won’t keep you coming back like multiplayer does.”-Arizona Jedi
Well Arizona, now I am starting to agree with you, also Gears is great to play if a few people are over because you can sign a guest into Xbox Live along side yourself. So to get to the point Crackdown grabbed the number 3 spot on overall Xbox Live Activity this past week.

Alright I know in Xcast Episode #21 Corran and I gave you a brief overview of what we thought about Crackdown. See for me the missions in co-op not carrying over to my city was disappointing. But after playing the game I realized that this game is not just about the missions. One of the main points of the game is increasing your skills. The agility orbs are just plain out addicting. After you level up one of your skills once you will be sucked in like I was. The achievements are also a great point of the game, achievements like body and car juggler are alot of fun to get. Also after playing some more co-op games, I really don’t care that the missions do not carry over because your skills do. Helping your friend reach agility orbs by having them get in a car and you throwing them is pretty entertaining. Basically to sum it all up, Crackdown is worth the 60 dollars and if you get it, the Halo 3 beta is just a nice little bonus. But one last thing to point out is if you are looking for a driving game, Crackdown is probably not the best thing to buy, I find jumping from building to building to be another main point of the game as well as trying to scale the highest buildings. Alright that’s enough from me, Crackdown was definitely worth the cash.
